Revs Director of Business Development Dave Kasper Announces Departure
The New England Revolution announces today the departure of Director of Business Development Dave Kasper, who has left the organization to pursue other career opportunities. Kasper, 36, was named Technical Director for Major League Soccer franchise D.C. United today.

FOXBORO, MA, 12/20/01 - The New England Revolution announces today the departure of Director of Business Development Dave Kasper, who has left the organization to pursue other career opportunities. Kasper, 36, was named Technical Director for Major League Soccer franchise D.C. United today.

Kasper, who joined the Revolution staff in January 2001 as the Director of Business Development, oversaw all aspects of the Revolution's crowd building operation. He was responsible for implementing specific programs to increase ticket sales and strengthen the club's relationship with the fans. He was also strongly involved with the Youth Development Program in the New England area.

Before his stint with the Revs, Kasper became the first Vice President/ General Manager of the A-League expansion Pittsburgh Riverhounds on March 16, 1998. Under Kasper's guidance, Pittsburgh was named the 1999 "A-League Organization of the Year."

Kasper played collegiately at the University of Maryland, where he was named All-ACC and became a member of the United States Under-20 National Team. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lazers of the MISL before joining the Milwaukee Wave of the NPSL. In 1994, Kasper joined the CISL's Pittsburgh Stingers. He did not shy away from a career on the sidelines, as he became the first head coach for the Duquesne University men's soccer team (NCAA division 1), building Duquesne into one of the top programs of the Atlantic-10 Conference from 1995 to 1997.
