Revs part ways with midfielder
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution today waived Honduran midfielder Mauricio Castro.
Castro, 28, signed with the Revolution in February 2008 from Olimpia of Honduras’ Liga Nactional. He made 30 appearances with the Revolution, with 25 starts, while recording four assists.
“We want to thank Mauricio for his time with us, and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Burns said.
The Revs will return to action on Saturday, May 15, when they host the San Jose Earthquakes at Gillette Stadium. That match will be broadcast live in high definition on Comcast SportsNet New England beginning at 6 p.m. 98.5 The Sports Hub will also broadcast the match live.
