Injury Report – August 3, 2010 By Revolution Communications

Revs do not add any additional players following Philadelphia match.

With two games on tap this week, the Revolution .released the early-week injury report after Tuesday’s training session – the team’s last before its SuperLiga semifinal match against Mexico’s Puebla on Wednesday (7 p.m., Telefutura,

This week’s list features three upgrades, with Chris Tierney (rib contusion) and Cory Gibbs (L quad strain) removed from the list after being posted as PROBABLE on Friday, the team now has just seven players on its injury list.

QUESTIONABLE: Nico Colaluca (R ankle sprain), Jason Griffiths (L hamstring strain)

DOUBTFUL: Zak Boggs (concussion)

OUT: Preston Burpo (R leg surgery), Kheli Dube (R MCL sprain), Edgaras Jankauskas (L adductor strain), Taylor Twellman (concussion)

Nico Colaluca (L ankle sprain) remains listed as QUESTIONABLE, while Jason Griffiths has been upgraded from OUT to QUESTIONABLE with his left hamstring strain. Both players worked off to the side with the athletic training staff this week as they continue their recovery.

Zak Boggs was downgraded slightly to DOUBTFUL with lingering effects from his concussion, but he was also out at training and went through fitness drills with the medical staff.

Kheli Dube (R MCL sprain) will continue his rehab away from Gillette Stadium for the next couple of weeks as the Zimbabwean has been granted a brief leave from the team to visit his newborn son in London. He is expected to return on Aug. 20, and the team is aiming for an Aug. 28 return to the field.

Edgaras Jankauskas made his first appearance outside with the team this week since suffering his most recent injury, working with Colaluca, Griffiths and Boggs off to the side and doing stretching and fitness work.

Preston Burpo, who has been at Gillette Stadium daily rehabbing his leg and rebuilding muscle, also traveled with the Revs to Philadelphia last weekend. It was his first trip back with the team, where he watched from the sideline bench.
