Revolution and Niouky reach termination agreement

Revs part ways with first-year midfielder from Senegal


FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution today reached a termination agreement with midfielder Joseph Niouky.

Niouky, 24, signed with the team on Feb. 22, 2010, after playing eight years in his native Senegal. He made 13 appearances in league games, and played in all four of the team’s SuperLiga matches.

The Revolution (5-9-3, 18 pts.) returns to MLS regular-season action on Saturday, Aug. 14, when the team hosts the Houston Dynamo at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m., with Comcast SportsNet New England televising the game, and 98.5 The Sports Hub carrying the game on the radio.
